"Dedicated to the ones before me and left to the ones after me ... They thought their lives were ordinary, nothing special, their stories unimportant. They were wrong".
Malcolm first moved to Hill End in 1964 at around 11 years of age. He moved to town after his father had his first heart attack and never left. Malcolm's first book "Hill End Gold", published in 1982, is the story of Australia's first gold finds. His second book "Hill End Hearsay", was written to tell the story of what happened after the gold and the hype had gone.
